Teleconferences

AIA's Teleconference was held on October 19, 2011

Our Presenter: Sarah Schumann, MDiv

Topic: Complementary Medicine in Long Term Care Settings

About the Teleconference:
I love aromatherapy! Now how will I ever integrate it into the Western Medical Model???

Nursing Homes are the second most regulated industry in the nation and there is a serious shortage of funding for these communities. Yet with these challenges, Brookside Inn Skilled Nursing Facility has been successful in providing Complementary Medicine options to both residents and staff. This teleconference will discuss financial concerns, legal due diligence, Federal Regulations and Survey issues as well as the personalized account of Brookside Inn's journey into complementary and alternative medicine. Pertinent information provided for organizations that receive Medicare and Medicaid funding.
