Teleconferences
AIA's
Teleconference was held on June 15, 2011
Our Presenter:Sharon Tessier, MA, MS
Topic: Access Inner-Knowing Through Aromatherapy
(Using Essential oils to Access our Authentic Selves)
About the Teleconference:
This presentation will look at a number of ways we can access our authentic selves. We will touch upon the four ways of knowing described by Carl Jung, we will briefly discuss neuroscience and Daniel Siegel's theory of the mindful brain, and theorize how essential oils can assist in activating most areas of the brain and therefore assist in accessing these ways of knowing. This three-pronged approach to self awareness has the potential to dispel myths that we set up as individuals and as a society. It can facilitate in opening new avenues for individuals to reach and draw upon their unique core wisdom. We will discuss the importance of shifting from the old paradigm of viewing our health in pathological terms to a new paradigm of drawing upon our strengths and virtues that enable us to thrive.
