Debrah Nadler - Atlantic Region Representative Florida - Email Debrah Debrah (Debbie) Nadler, BS, MBA, CCA, RA, has been a member of the AIA for six years and now serves as the Atlantic Region Representative. She is a member of the AIA Journal Committee and a member of the NAHA. She began using essential oils in 2012. As the owner of Aroma Wellness Therapy, LLC, she has provided consultations and individualized blends for her clients, trained individuals, and delivered community presentations. In 2020, she discovered The HEARTS Process©, an acronym for Hands-on (not a massage), Empathy, Aroma, Texture, and Sound. The process was her epiphany. The HEARTS Process© was precisely what she had been seeking to help people living with Alzheimer’s, cancer, end-of-life, and others to relax and relieve emotional and physical pain. Debbie has developed a program, “Trifecta Care.” It utilizes The HEARTS Process©, Aromatherapy, and the Music & Memory® program. Debbie’s company is a Certified Organization of the Music & Memory® Care Organization. This program helps re-awaken individuals living with Alzheimer’s. Debbie has completed the Alzheimer’s Association Training and Certification program. She also designs and handmakes Alzheimer’s Muffs and Fidget Mats. The muffs and mats occupy the individual’s mind, keeping their fingers, hands, and wrists moving while providing entertainment and therapy. The muffs and mats are made with love as a tribute to her mother, who had Alzheimer’s. Debbie was the primary caregiver to her mom and understands how challenging it is to provide for the needs of the entire family and their loved ones. “Trifecta Care” helps overwhelmed caregivers and their loved ones along their journey. |
Chris Mack - Atlantic Region Florida & Atlanta - Email Chris I started my adult life at Colorado State University, studying engineering and Industrial Science. I enlisted in the Army, and served as a tank crewman, and as a scout helicopter crew chief in a cavalry squadron. After my enlisted period of 10 years I worked for a short 6 years in retail, but the call to service was too much to ignore, however, so I joined the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, where I continue to work today. I have trained with the Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy, after an abrupt courtship with essential oils, and their PTSD/smell memory relationship. I continue to study and learn through any means available. As a certified instructor, I've found a gift for listening and communicating. I find helping people quite rewarding, and would welcome any opportunity to help. I am an Aromatherapist at Aromatic Harmony in Plant City, Florida where I specialize in blending, and creating new products. I became a member of the Alliance of International Aromatherapists over a year ago, and was able to attend the conference in New Jersey last summer, and it really opened my eyes to the scope and mission of the organization. I'm very excited to be the Florida representative for the Alliance! Increasing our communication with each other and the rest of the Aromatic community as a whole is my first task so that we increase our membership. But lurking in the background is also the ideal that making membership to our professional organization is a significant benefit to it's membership! I love learning, creating, and helping, and I intend to do all of those things here, in the Alliance. |
Brenda Lamkin – M.Ed. West Virginia - Email Brenda Hello! My name is Brenda Lamkin, and I live in wild and wonderful West Virginia. My background includes a Master of Education and Human Service from Fairmont State University and received my Nonprofit Management Certificate from Duke University. I am the Executive Director of the Parent Training Center in West Virginia, where our focus is providing training, information, and resources to parents/caregivers of children and youth with disabilities. Also, I was selected to serve as a statewide "ambassador" to spearhead the use of the Division of Early Childhood (DEC) Recommended Practices for the care and education of young children with disabilities. My interest and love of essential oils began with a class from AromaHead with Andrea Butje. I immediately became hooked on the benefits of the essential oils and the beauty of the plants. Then I went on to complete the Aromatherapy Certification Couse. I have been a member of the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA) for several years and look forward to being the WV representative for the AIA. |
