Cyrene Banerjee

Canada - Email Cyrene

Cyrene bought her first bottle of essential oil in England in 1992 and has never been without one ever since. Her purse and her home may as well be an oversized essential oil vial!

When the Heartfulness Institute inaugurated its first still in India in 2018, Cyrene leapt into distillation and formulating bath and body products for the 100,000 people who visit the meditation center annually.  Cyrene continues her studies in aromatherapy at The Tisserand Institute, Aromahead, Healing Fragrances School of Aromatherapy, Lipids Oil Academy, and the School for Aromatic Studies.

Apart from her membership with the AIA, Cyrene is also an active member of the International Clinical Aromatherapy Network and a patient engagement researcher for Alberta Health Services in Calgary, Alberta.

She is a meditation trainer, and a passionate—if not skillful—billiards player.  She splits her time between Canada and India, and enjoys learning something new every day.

Dr. Sheryl Beller-Kenner

Canada - Email Sheryl

Dr. Sheryl Beller-Kenner is a clinical aromatherapist, lifelong educator, and founder of BelArôme Holistic Health & Learning Centre and the Montreal Stress Reduction Clinic. Since 2000, she has been guiding everyone from curious beginners to seasoned professionals in using aromatherapy not just as a pleasant scent, but as a powerful catalyst for emotional healing, spiritual connection, and meaningful transformation.

She helps people tap into their intuition, inner wisdom, and creativity so they can confidently craft holistic wellness practices for themselves, their families, and their clients. I guide health professionals — massage therapists, psychotherapists, nurses, doctors, and naturopaths — in weaving aromatherapy into their existing work, deepening client results and expanding their professional impact. Her approach blends science and spirit, always with laughter and a lot of heart.

With decades of teaching experience across North America, she loves blending the science of essential oils with the soul of holistic healing. Whether she is leading professional certification programs in aromatherapy, reflexology, and herbology, or hosting workshops on scent meditation, journaling, and emotional resilience, she brings depth, curiosity, and compassion to every class.

This year, to celebrate BelArôme’s 25th anniversary, she launched her Signature BelArôme WholeHeart Advanced Aromatherapy Certification Program — a culmination of everything I love about this field: grounded science, compassionate care, and a deep respect for the emotional intelligence of plants. It’s aromatherapy taught from the heart for the heart.

Her private practice is rooted in connection — heart-to-heart and human-to-nature. She supports clients in finding their “small spark within,” that inner wisdom that leads to balance, calm, and joy. She teaches the same way: grounded, experiential, and a little delightfully off-script when the moment calls for it.

Being part of the AIA community allows her to continue learning, sharing, and growing alongside others who believe in the power of plants and the heart of healing. She is deeply grateful for the chance to contribute, to support fellow aromatherapists in their work, and to receive the ideas, inspiration, and encouragement that make this field—and this community—so beautifully alive.
