| Myrtha (Mimi) Russell de Martin, RA, AAT, CFEP, RT Latin America Region - Email Mimi Mimi is a Registered Aromatherapist (RA), Certified Flower Essence and AcuAroma Therapy Practitioner. Based in Panama, Central America, she is an AIA board director for the 2026-2027 period, the Regional Representative for Latin America, a member of the Research Academy Steering Committee, and a member of the Flower Essence Society. In addition to her private practice, she is passionate about the advancement of professional aromatherapy in the region and is devoted to promoting its practice, benefits, recognition, and accessibility. Mimi is also one of the co-authors of “Drops of Wisdom, Points of Power” (Sidlo et al.) and a registered translator. |
| Andrea Canales Chile Area - Email Andrea Andrea Canales is a certified aromatherapist from Chile and founder of Aromaterapeuta.cl. She discovered aromatherapy through her children and later worked with essential oil products, where she realized that truly helping people required understanding how essential oils work and how to use them safely and responsibly. This led her to pursue professional training, and believes that the more she studies, the more there is to learn. Today, she offers personalized consultations and workshops, and shares information about safe aromatherapy through her website and Instagram. As AIA Co-Representative for Chile, she promotes safe, evidence-informed aromatherapy and international collaboration. |
| Maria Lantadilla Chile Area - Email Maria María Alejandra Lantadilla is a clinical aromatherapist, founder of the educational platform *Amo Los Aceites*, and Secretary of the Chilean Aromatherapists' Association (ANAROMA). She is distinguished by her integration of scientific aromatherapy into public health and social impact initiatives; notably, she created the Aromatherapy Support Program for Oncology Patients at the *Fundación Mujeres por un Lazo*—recognized in the 2025 Chilean Cancer Best Practices Book—and has conducted free aromatherapy workshops for women in rural areas. A journalist by training, she combines private practice with educational outreach and the promotion of community networks to foster the safe, ethical, and rigorous use of aromatherapy. ~~~~~ María Alejandra Lantadilla es aromaterapeuta clínica, fundadora del espacio educativo Amo Los Aceites y Secretaria de la Asociación Gremial de Aromaterapeutas de Chile (ANAROMA). Destaca por integrar la aromaterapia científica en entornos de salud pública e impacto social, habiendo creado el Programa de Acompañamiento con Aromaterapia para Pacientes Oncológicas en Fundación Mujeres por un Lazo (reconocido en el Libro de Buenas Prácticas en Cáncer en Chile 2025) y ofrecido talleres gratuitos de aromaterapia para mujeres en entornos rurales. Periodista de formación, combina la consulta privada con la divulgación y el impulso de redes comunitarias para fomentar el uso seguro, ético y riguroso de la aromaterapia. |
