Teleconferences

AIA's Teleconference held on October 28, 2009.

Our Presenter:
Ann Harman

Topic:
My Favorite Hydrosols - Their stories and uses

About the Teleconference:
Let me introduce you to my world of hydrosols. Over the years I have distilled numerous herbs and oils. We will explore 6 of my favorites and share in their origins, stories and uses. My list - though it was hard to choose - includes Helichrysum, Lemon Balm, Peppermint, Yarrow, Rose Geranium and Lime. Learn about where they originated, how they are distilled and what to do with them.

Meet Ann Harman
Ann Harman is a Botanist, Herbalist and Artisan Distiller. She founded Morning Myst Botanics which is based in Fruitland, WA. Ann studied Botany at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. She has been making herbal products for decades and distilling hydrosols for over 12 years. When not distilling, she teaches workshops on distilling, hydrosols and organic body care. Ann works directly with Aromatherapists, Naturopaths, Herbalists, and Certified Organic Personal Care manufacturers. She has written several articles about hydrosols for aromatherapy magazines. Ann currently has several research projects underway that she hopes to publish in her new book about distilling.
