Aromatic Immunity

with Amy Kreydin NBCR, CCAP, BD

Amy Kreydin is a clinical aromatherapist, board certified reflexologist, birth doula, and author in private practice since 2004. Her early training in botanical medicine included mentors in Western herbal medicine, Native American healing, curanderismo (Latin folk healing), and midwifery. She graduated as a Certified Reflexologist in 2004, was board certified by the American Reflexology Certification Board in 2006, graduated from Jane Buckle’s Certified Clinical Aromatherapy Practitioner (CCAP) in 2011, and graduated from Mark Webb’s Advanced Diploma in Aromatic Medicine program in 2016.

Our immune system is made up of a network of organs, tissues, cells, and molecules that act synergistically to protect us from infection, heal wounds, and keep us healthy. Internal and external stressors can cause the immune system to under or over perform, creating a dysregulation with far-reaching implications. Aromatics, like essential oils, CO2 extracts, and resins can be used to support the immune system. In this presentation we’ll look at complementary and antagonistic approaches to incorporating aromatics in a wellness plan for the immune system.
